Felix began to work for an IT Systems Company in 1997 while he was still attending school. As customers increasingly requested services in web design, e-commerce, and online marketing, he was entrusted with setting up this department. In early 2000, the company developed a toolkit for creating websites, which was offered as SaaS (Software as a Service). The company's growth was accelerated by venture capital. As the right-hand man of the founder and CEO, Felix was involved in all areas of the organization and thus became an integral part of the shareholder and supervisory board meetings. It was the perfect environment to start a business later. At the same time, Klaus was taking his first steps as an internet entrepreneur in the USA. We often exchanged ideas about challenges and developments in Germany and the USA, and slowly but surely grew closer professionally.
1997 - 2002
In 2002, we founded the digital marketing agency conceptbakery. Our goal was to build innovative bridges between our clients and their target groups. We identified trends in the USA and developed methods and ways to transfer this knowledge and experience to the European market. Over time, we built a successful team and business in Germany and the USA. We were able to work for many great clients (such as Asahi, Bosch, Coca Cola, DEVK, E-Plus, Florette, Giovanni Rana, Henkel, ING, Jaguar / Land Rover, Karstadt, L’Oréal, Microsoft, NieWiederBohren, Orbico, Pernod Ricard, No-Q-Sorry;), Ravensburger, Stadtwerke Duesseldorf, Triodos Bank, Unicef, Vodafone, WDR, XELLA, Ytong, Z..., and more). After successfully building an international agency alliance, our company became part of Zone at the end of 2015, and we became shareholders and members of the C-Suite of one of Europe's leading digital agencies.
2002 - 2015
In early 2016, conceptbakery officially became part of Zone. Felix became CEO of Germany, and Klaus became part of Zone's international leadership team. Zone is a full-service agency for digital and customer experiences with an international presence and more than 250 experts in strategy, technology, content, and experience. At this time, we worked for clients such as Adidas, BMW, Canon, Deutsche Telekom, RTL, Thyssen Krupp, and many more.
2016 - 2017
In October 2017, we successfully sold Zone to Cognizant, one of the world's leading IT companies (listed on NASDAQ, a Fortune 500 company). Felix played a key role in the integration process in Germany. He also became Cognizant's testimonial for Customer Experience in Germany as part of an international marketing campaign ("Introducing the new face of CX"). The goal was to promote Cognizant Interactive as a leading global digital agency network. Klaus had already left the company at this time.
2017 - 2019
All of this led to Quovabiz. True to the motto "never change a winning team", we founded the company together again. Quovabiz is a mix of a consulting firm and investment company, focusing on strategy, marketing, and technology, based in Cologne (Germany) and Boulder (USA).
